Kavalakat Francis Jose was born on 24th August 1964 Kandassankadavu, as the 3rd generation business man from Kavalakat family, Thrissur. As on date his business is spread over various verticals covering Thrissur, Palakkad, Ernakulam and Idukki Districts with a Turnover of Rs.275 Crores and giving jobs to 250 plus employees directly. Now he is concentrated on further expanding territory in to entire Kerala with his high energy caliber and cool smiling nature.

Milestone

In 1997 he started an exclusive tyre shop of MRF tyres in Mundupalam Junction Thrissur named Kavalakat Tyres and started Kavalakat Associates in Palakkad as a C & F and wholesale dealer of L & T cement for Palakkad District. Later it developed as major Wholesale dealer and C&F of Penna Cements Industries Ltd And JSW cements Ltd. In 2007 Kavalakat Traders started Ernakulam operation as consignment agent of Anjani Portland cement Ltd & Sagar Cements Ltd to concentrate Ernakulam District and south side of Kerala market. In the year 2012-13 he had implemented two new ventures in his business arena.

(1) Stepping into the manufacturing field, started a blending Unit for Pigments at Ozhalapathy, Palakkad and installed a blending machine and started to produce in lighter level in black and grey colors, hoping that, in the coming years can manufacture the product in large scale.

(2) Then started a De-coiling unit at Kuttanellur, Thrissur along sided the NH-47 Bye-Pass. After installing the De-coiling unit he purchase brands of Vizag and SAIL in coil form and makes it straightened which becomes a good service to bulk lifters. For this purpose maintain a stock yard with an area of 2.5 acres, fully set-up office, with a staff strength of above 50. He also have installed three decoiling machines and 100 Ton weigh bridge in the yard and other machineries required and holding a stock level of 1500 to 2000 MT every time. Nowadays make lot of intake of SAIL, Vizag products through wagon in view of reducing the cost.

In the year 2013 entered in the field of Logistic Services which now with 54 vehicles, attempt to giving prompt and timely supply first to his esteemed customers, then extended to his materials supply channel for ensuring a smooth hassle free and uninterrupted material supply management with different capacity and formats. In 2015 Manikgarh Cement owned by Century Textiles and Industries Ltd with brand name Birla Gold appointed Kavalakat Traders as their business promoter for entire Kerala. He also started Paint division with the distributorship of M/s Akzo nobel Ltd manufacturer of Dulux paint for entire Thrissur Dt. and some parts of Malappuram and Palakkad Dt. He again spread the wings in net work by starting new branch at Kumily, in the year 2018-19 as distributor for Anjani Portland Cement Ltd for Idukki District and now distributing both cement and TMT bars entire district geographical area.

Now his wholesale cement division KAVALAKAT Traders is the distributor of Heidelberg Cement , Anjani Portland cement, Ultratech Cement ( Both Grey and White ) and C&F for Bharathi Cement Corporation Pvt limited for Thrissur Dt. And distributor for Orient Cement Ltd for center and South Kerala. He always keeps a cordial relationship with his customers with cheering and smiling face. He also behaves with them most humble and simple way. His customers are most reputed Real Estate Developers, Builders, Retail dealers and end users of various building materials and products in the whole districts of Kerala. One area where Kavalakat Jose has been successful is in the area of maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
